SNOW EMERGENCY DECLARED FOR DECEMBER 17, 2016 BEGINNING AT 12:00 P.M.

The City of Janesville has declared a snow emergency for Saturday, December 17th beginning at 12:00 P.M. A snow emergency means that all parked vehicles must be removed from city streets and public parking lots until snow plowing operations are complete. To ensure that you do not receive a parking ticket, please move your vehicle prior to 12:00 P.M. and keep your vehicle off city streets until they have been completely plowed.
Snow and ice accumulations have been forecasted for Friday and Saturday, December 16th - 17th, that will require City staff to complete a full plow. Main and arterial streets will be maintained throughout the duration of the snowfall event on Friday and Saturday. Snow accumulations are expected to end on Sunday evening, after which the full plow will begin and all City streets will be cleared. The full plow is not expected to be completed until Sunday, although every effort will be made to complete residential streets as soon as possible. Please plan on keeping parked vehicles off the street until plows have completely removed snow from curb to curb.
